Safety
Process is the standard.
We do not claim certifications we do not hold or affiliations we have not established. What we do hold is a defined, documented process — and a consistent record of following it.
Operating Principles
How we work in your environment.
Defined Scope of Work
Technicians operate within a clearly defined scope on every visit. We do not perform work outside that scope without client authorization — no exceptions. If something is observed that falls outside the service scope, we report it and wait for direction.
Aircraft-Appropriate Procedures
All service procedures are developed specifically for aircraft environments. Surface materials, sensitive avionics areas, and operational zones are treated according to the requirements of each aircraft type — not adapted from automotive or general cleaning practices.
Controlled Chemistry
Products are selected for compatibility with aircraft-grade materials — leather, nylon, composite, painted aluminum, and glass. We do not introduce unknown chemistry into an aircraft environment. All products used are documented.
Ramp and Hangar Discipline
Working around aircraft on active ramps and in shared hangars requires operational awareness. We adhere to FOD prevention practices, maintain a clean work area, and remove all materials and equipment upon completion of each visit.
No Improvisation
Professional detailing in an aviation environment requires discipline. If a procedure is not defined for a given situation, we do not improvise. We stop, report, and seek authorization before proceeding.
Environment
Working within your operation.
Pillar and Compass operates in active aviation environments — FBO ramps, maintenance hangars, and corporate flight facilities. We understand that our presence is secondary to the operation, and we conduct ourselves accordingly.
Access coordination, scheduling around maintenance windows, and working within shared hangar environments are standard parts of how we operate — not special accommodations.
